Think “West Wing” meets “The Office” — Universal Pictures has optioned a book proposal by former White House stenographer Rebecca Dorey-Stein, per the Hollywood Reporter. Dorey-Stein, an under-the-radar aide in the Obama White House, got a seven-figure, two-book deal for “From the Corner of the Oval,” which is less a tell-all about the Obama administration than a look at the people who make 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. run (or, since it’s Hollywood, better-looking and better-dressed versions of those folks).
