The salaries of Wichita County court reporters was again a point of contention during budget discussions. Wichita County Court-At-Law Judges Gary Butler and Greg King visited with the county commissioners on Friday to discuss the disparity between their court reporters and those in district courts. Unlike most other county employees, the salaries of district court reporters are set by a board of district judges. The decision of the board is final and cannot be changed by the commissioners court.
